Los Angeles – May 20, 2020 – We’ve been named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Crisis Communications category in the 18th Annual American Business Awards®.

More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. But, it was our work with long-time client Avid that came out on top, with the crisis communications campaign receiving recognition for helping to quickly turn a tide of negative media coverage. Through fast media communications, we successfully turned coverage sentiment from overwhelmingly negative (71%) to neutral (92%) within just 24 hours.

Judges’ comments on the campaign included:

This was a classic PR nightmare and the impressive turnaround of sentiment from negative to neutral within 24 hours is the best indicator of the effectiveness of the response!

Very impressive crisis communications case study, with quantifiable results and strong supporting evidence. Reflects well on agency’s capabilities.

Meredith L. Eaton, our director of North America said:

Our small, specialist teams really understand our clients’ industries and target media inside and out. This means that when a PR crisis hits, we can spring into action quickly and decisively to really make an impact for our clients. Winning a 2020 Silver Stevie Award is a testament to our media and entertainment tech team’s industry expertise and great working relationships with both industry media and Avid’s corporate communications team.
