An update on our latest internal promotions

Alexa, play Movin on Up by Primal Scream.

As you might know, training and development is kind of a big deal for us here at the lorries. Wherever possible, we try to promote internally to fill vacancies and fuel our growth.

When a new lorry joins us, we say to them: ‘tell us where you want to go, and we’ll give you the skills and support to get there’. This is possible thanks to our ‘Fast Lane’ training program – which combines personalized skills-based and behavioral modules.

And boy is it paying off. July to October 2022 saw a record fourteen lorries promoted across our offices. Every single one of them – whether they’ve been with us for nine months or nine years – deserves it 100%.

So, we thought we’d shout them out individually. Here goes…

UK

Sarah Alonze, promoted to global strategy director – Combining PR smarts with a love of calisthenics and chocolate, our former UK head of enterprise IT Sarah is now responsible for shaping clients’ global campaign strategy. Learn more here.

Phil Iacob, promoted to senior account manager – Also known as Philip (and Andrei), Phil joined us as an account executive way back in 2018. He’s an M&E PR maestro, and recently helped the team secure a record number of media briefings at IBC 2022.

George Lawrence, promoted to digital specialist – Self-appointed London office social secretary George is a PPC and SEO whizz. Come at him with any of your digital questions.

Hannah Arnold, promoted to account manager – We think Hannah might have broken a lorry record with the speed she was promoted to AM. Always cool, calm, and collected, she’s your enterprise IT PR queen.

Megan Cowlbeck, promoted to account executive – Megan’s energy is infectious. She’s nothing if not persistent and won’t give up till she gets results! All she needs is a decent lunch (ideally a sausage roll).

Emma Orsi, promoted to operations executive – Emma is the fuel that keeps the lorries running. Her patience and organizational skills are second to none. She also puts on a cracking social.

US

Tanya Roberts, promoted to account director – One of our OG LA employees, Tanya has been with the lorries since 2015. As well as running carefully crafted PR campaigns for our M&E clients, Tanya has spearheaded our training program – helping to develop many fellow lorries from AC up to AM.

Ali Phair, promoted to senior account executive – In her first year as a lorry, Ali has already become an integral part of the Boston team. A well-deserved promotion up to SAE, with great things ahead.

Steph Ward, promoted to digital specialistKeeping up with the latest developments in the fast-moving world of social media can be tough. But Steph does it like a pro. So, it’s no surprise that she was promoted to digital specialist in under a year at the lorries.

Taylor Sullivan, promoted to account executive – From day one, Taylor has had the desire to learn and go the extra mile for her clients. Already a force to be reckoned with after just nine months in PR, we can’t wait to see Taylor develop further.

France and Germany

Elisabeth, promoted to account manager – Elisabeth’s attention to detail and thoughtfulness are second to none. She’s also a formidable writer, which is reflected in the quality of coverage she secures.

Youna, promoted to account manager – In two years at the lorries, Youna has risen quickly from account coordinator to account manager. She’s also proven herself to be frighteningly organized and has been instrumental in ensuring our global offices feel connected.

Sven Heins, promoted to account executive – In less than a year at the lorries, Sven has already secured some seriously major client coverage. No surprise really, when you consider his diligence and eagerness to learn. We’re sure this is the start of a dazzling PR career.
