This instalment of our “meet the lorries” series comes from our fast-moving and fast-growing digital team! Meet Steph Ward, Boston-based digital account executive.
What advice would you give to someone who is interested working in b2b tech PR and marketing?
Be eager and open to learning new things. Demonstrating an interest in expanding your skillset goes such a long way.
What skills are essential for your digital role?
First and foremost, knowledge of social media platforms, both organic and paid. Good client relations and people skills are also crucial, as well as the ability to think creatively.
What is your favorite part of the job?
On the digital marketing side of things, I love that there’s always something new to try – and that you get to have some fun testing out various campaign ideas and strategies.
What’s the best part of working at the lorries?
The other lorries!
How would you describe your day job to a child?
I write short sentences on the internet to make people want to learn about new things and hopefully make their jobs easier.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Cookies (really anything sweet).
What’s something not many people know about you?
The Boston lorries know this already but I’m bilingual. Je parle français depuis l’âge de 6 ans.
What was your first/most unusual job?
I once worked as a gardener – though I can’t keep a plant alive for the life of me!
