Convoy signs Wimbart to expand Africa presence

Browse

Following hot on the heels of our recent expansion into Romania, we’re delighted to welcome PR and communications agency Wimbart as the latest member of our global PR network, Convoy.

This new partnership boosts Convoy’s presence in Africa, providing new opportunities and access to expert local insights for international brands that are looking to expand into the region.

Wimbart is a London-based independent PR agency specialising in Africa and emerging markets. With a focus on the continent’s tech and start-up sectors, its clients are predominantly based in Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Ghana. The agency’s work centres around producing hyper-targeted, relevant and meaningful media campaigns for its clients, all geared towards securing impactful coverage in an increasingly crowded market. The agency works with entrepreneurs, seed-stage start-ups through to some of the most well known high growth technology companies on the continent.

“Africa is an unfamiliar region for many Western brands, but one that offers huge potential if you have access to local expertise – something we’ve spent many years cultivating,” said Jessica Hope, Wimbart’s founder and managing director. “It’s an exciting time for the African market and we can’t wait to start working with our Convoy partners to help guide brands on their journeys.”

Rob Ettridge, our chief client officer and Convoy lead, added: “Convoy is all about giving brands access to specialist local experts who know their regions inside out, which is exactly what Wimbart brings to the network. It has an excellent reputation in the industry and we’re delighted to welcome their team to our growing roster of global PR partners.”

If you’re looking to launch an international campaign, or if you’re an agency that wants to join the Convoy network, get in touch at hello@rlyl.com.
