New clients, new partners, new faces: gaining momentum in 2021

After a turbulent 12 months for businesses and industries around the world, we’re pleased to say that 2021 has so far been a year of significant growth and momentum here at the lorries. Over the last few months, we’ve:

We’re proud of the way we’ve weathered the storm in the last 12 months, and have emerged stronger than ever as one of the top 250 global PR agencies

Our CEO Guy Walsingham said: “Overall, the tech sector has done well through the pandemic. The accelerating roll-out of vaccines has further improved confidence and we’re now seeing growth well beyond pre-pandemic levels. It’s pleasing to see new clients coming on board, as well as long-time clients – whose businesses were hit hard by the pandemic – restarting campaigns. The whole team has worked incredibly hard, putting us in a strong position for the rest of 2021 and beyond.”

New clients and projects

UK

The UK team has recently welcomed several new clients. These include  Aventus – a layer two blockchain solution that brings speed and scalability to Ethereum transactions – and  BIVDA, the national industry association for manufacturers and distributors of diagnostics products. Our medtech experts are helping BIVDA refresh its messaging and tone of voice, which will be followed by a media relations campaign to spread the word about its crucial role in the future of the UK’s healthcare sector.

Also in the health and wellness space,  FemTech Lab has become a pro bono client as part of our  PRoactive CSR program. FemTech Lab is the world’s first independent femtech accelerator, focusing on traditionally underfunded and under-prioritised female health start-ups.

FemTech Lab takes cohorts of 10 carefully selected start-ups through a 12-week program covering product development, go-to-market strategy, finance and more. Our UK director Hannah Patel is acting as an advisor on the program, providing mentorship and PR and marketing support.

Finally, the digital marketing side of the agency is continuing to flourish. We’ve won significant digital contracts with Bayzat – a UAE-based HR and insurance platform – and Airbus CyberSecurity. As the company’s new digital agency for the UK, France and Germany, we’re now handling Airbus CyberSecurity’s digital campaign strategy and delivery, content optimisation and campaign localisation.

Continental Europe

As well as ongoing work supporting campaign localisation for a range of clients, our rapidly growing teams in Paris and Berlin are now running multi-national campaigns for several prominent brands. These include Finnish IoT challenger Wirepas, digital asset management platform Bynder and B2B Media Group – a data, technology and marketing services company that helps b2b customers flourish online.

The Paris lorries are also delighted to be working with Armatis, a leading provider of customer relationship design and management services. Recently, this has included spreading the word about its new status as a CSR Commitment Label holder.

USA

In the US, our LA-based media and entertainment team has kick-started campaigns with clients including Avid and Panavision. We’re about to unleash a creative campaign to promote Avid’s video, post and storage solutions, as well as embarking on an effort to promote Panavision’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

Our M&E experts have also found time in their busy schedules to expand a pro bono social media campaign for  ACCESS:VFX, a VFX industry movement striving for better inclusion and diversity.

On the enterprise IT side, our US lorries have won ten new clients so far this year, including blockchain apps provider BlockApps, whose fast, flexible cloud access solution is currently making waves in agriculture and beyond, and talent software provider Beamery.

Convoy partner network

Our global PR partner network  Convoy has seen record growth in 2021 with new business and partner enquiries increasing rapidly. Four new accredited partners have joined in 2021 – covering Israel (Reblonde), New Zealand (Swaytech), Latin America (Coworc) and the UAE (Procre8). The network now includes 35 Convoy partners, covering six continents and more than 70 countries.

These hand-picked agency partners have helped to significantly extend Convoy’s reach and presence in key regions around the world, giving clients the support they need to engage local audiences and grow their brands internationally.

Rob Ettridge, the lorries’ COO and Convoy lead said: “Convoy is going from strength-to-strength, with high levels of new business currently flowing through the network. This is simply because our model works, enabling clients to benefit from our network of like-minded b2b tech PR agency partners for a personal and localised service with global reach and management.”

Team updates

So far, 11 new team members have joined the lorries in 2021, with recruitment still underway across all offices. Our global team just keeps growing! From client management to digital, design and content creation services, these new additions reflect our continuing commitment to delivering a highly personalised service to our growing client base.

Key senior hires include Martin Izzard, who has re-joined the lorries in the new role of head of media and entertainment. Having spent two years at VFX creative studio Framestore, his experience will prove invaluable in understanding the needs of our M&E clients.

We’re also delighted to announce that after nine years with the lorries, Tristan Earl has been promoted to Global Operations Director. In this role, Tristan will evolve our agency operations to help our teams deliver a wider range of services across increasing sector specialisms.
