We’re excited to announce that Martin Izzard has re-joined the lorries in the newly-created role of head of media and entertainment. Martin will spearhead further growth in the M&E tech sector as the industry continues to bounce back after a difficult 12 months.

Martin will also take on a strategic role in working with our existing M&E tech client base. This includes media production tools provider Avid, camera and lens manufacturer Panavision, localisation and media service provider ZOO Digital and internet TV systems supplier Edgeware.

After previously spending five years with the lorries as a core member of the M&E account team, Martin joined VFX creative studio Framestore as a marketing manager. There, he led campaigns for the studio’s television, immersive and advertising departments, working closely with content distributors like HBO, Amazon and Netflix. Martin has also worked within London’s film and TV studio industry, as well as for industry body the Digital TV Group.

Martin Izzard said: “The M&E industry is at a really interesting point in its pandemic recovery. Markets, audience expectations and revenue streams are continuing to evolve at pace. I look forward to helping existing clients navigate these challenges, as well as showing new partners why the lorries is the right communications partner for them.”

Our CEO Guy Walsingham added: “M&E is an important and growing sector for us. After the shock of the pandemic, we’ve seen a significant uptick in clients looking to start and re-start campaigns, which is testament to industry’s ongoing recovery and the hard work of our teams in such challenging times. Martin coming aboard in this new role marks an exciting step forwards for the agency as we continue to grow. Having spent two years in-house, his experience will prove invaluable in understanding the needs of our M&E tech clients inside and out.”
