ChickTech is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 2012 to engage women of all ages in the technology industry, while working to create a better technology culture for all. The lorries provide pro-bono PR support for ChickTech in the US. Alison Jordan worked with the lorries until she recently left her position at ChickTech as marketing manager. Here’s what she had to say:

When I first started working at ChickTech, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing the number of women and girls in technology, I was relieved to learn that I wasn’t alone. The Red Lorry Yellow Lorry team located in Boston had signed on to do pro bono work for our small nonprofit in 2016 and were committed to helping the organization increase brand awareness through digital marketing, thought leadership, content creation, media support, and more.

From day one, the Lorries were a joy to work with; they were supportive, helpful, and always up for the challenge. Their knowledge and experience around PR, communications, and the technology industry was invaluable, and I always looked forward to our monthly calls. Not only were they pleasant to work with, but they always had fresh ideas and were able to offer a different approach. Each call kicked off with a detailed meeting agenda and follow-up items were shared with our team by the end of the day. Even though the work was pro bono, they always made us feel like we were their most valued client and I loved that each call included the support and participation of the entire team.

My time at ChickTech has since come to an end, but I know that ChickTech is in good hands with the support of the RLYL team. Thank you Justin, Lauren, Jackie, and Kayleigh for being such a wonderful resource ­to me over the last year – I truly believe that ChickTech is a better, stronger organization because of your dedication to their mission and work!
