#IWD2019 balance for better

Here at Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, we love International Women’s Day and what it stands for. It’s a day dedicated to celebrating amazing women, acknowledging how far women’s rights have come, bringing awareness to the inequalities that remain, and continuing to push for real change.

But, for us lorries, every day is International Women’s Day. Across our four offices worldwide, we’re proud to have a talented bunch of women who we can celebrate all year round, not just once a year on March 8th. So, we’ve decided not to limit the celebrations to a 24-hour window.

In the build-up to this year’s International Women’s Day (#IWD2019), we’ll be championing our female talent on our social media and blog over the next week. The premise is this: each lorry woman has nominated another, telling us why they think their nominee is worth celebrating. We believe that if more women champion other women, we’d be working in a better world.

We’ll be profiling our lorry ladies on this blog and our Instagram (@redlorrycomms) every day, so be sure to follow us and stay tuned.

Day 5: London (part two)

While we’re sad that our #IWD2019 campaign is coming to a close, we’re definitely not sad about working alongside these four London ladies.

Just like all of the lorry ladies celebrated this International Women’s Day, the final group from London bring a lot to the table. From blockchain know-how to London’s biggest collection of work skirts, these ladies are leading the game in many fields.

You can view all of our #IWD2019 posts from the rest of the week below.

Day 4: Berlin

What makes our Berlin lorry ladies worth celebrating this International Women’s Day? We can think of a lot of things. But we’ll keep it short and sweet.

These two embody the coolness, creativity and forward-thinking mindset of Berlin – which makes them the perfect duo for our office there. Equipped with both German media relations and Berlin shopping tips, they’re experts in their field. The rest of us know where to go for advice on German PR strategy – and a drink of Berliner Luft.

Day 3: L.A.

Let’s swim back over the pond and shine the spotlight on another group of women this International Women’s Day who are representing us lorries stateside. This time, we’re heading West.

Situated in sunny Los Angeles, these four are the ultimate PR dream team. From crafting successful media pitches to knowing the best coffee order from Philz, these ladies possess the skill and energy of a team twice their size. And, for that, we’re super proud.

Day 2: London (part one)

The lorry ladies located at our London HQ are a powerful force to be reckoned with. Not just for their wit and resilient attitude, but their unstoppable team spirit.

This first group of London ladies we’re celebrating this International Women’s Day excel at many things, but generating excellent results for clients while executing perfectly timed one-liners is our favourite.

Day 1: Boston

In our opinion, this Boston quartet don’t need an introduction on #IWD2019 – or any day for that matter. But, since you’re here…

Representing the lorry ladies on the East coast, these four are taking charge of Boston’s tech PR scene. Talented, headstrong and true team players, they’re PR mavens whose abilities to build long-lasting client relationships, develop head-turning campaigns and secure top-tier media coverage are second to none. And they do all this and more with a smile on their faces. Rumour has it that you can hear them laugh from five blocks away.

See why they’re paving the way this International Women’s Day below.
