Boston-based PR account coordinator Alyssa Dolan has been with the lorries for a year now – and has already been awarded a Silver Bell for ‘Best Executive Thought Leadership’ campaign. She’s also managed to get away without officially introducing herself, until now…

What advice would you give to someone who is interested working in b2b tech PR and marketing?

You don’t have to have experience in b2b tech to go into b2b tech pr. So much of the job is learning and researching as you go. And one of the best parts is tackling new markets you haven’t worked in yet!

What skills are essential for your b2b PR role?

Being eager to learn, good under pressure, a good writer and having great organisational skills are all key elements to b2b PR – and PR in general.

What is your favourite part of working in PR?

You are always learning something new. I’m definitely a lifelong learner, so being challenged every day to learn new markets and fields is so rewarding and exciting. There’s also so much creativity involved, I always feel like I get to push the boundaries of my mind.

What’s the best part of working at the lorries?

Definitely the people and the opportunity to work with lorries from LA, Austin, Berlin, Paris and London. You create bonds with people across the world which is so rewarding and is great when you need a travel guide abroad 😉

 What’s your guilty pleasure?

Sweets. I have the biggest sweet tooth, and sour candy is my favourite.

What was your first job / most unusual job?

My first job was at a grocery store – they came to my school during lunch with applications and me and my best friend applied and got the job right then. My favourite/most wild job was working as a bev cart girl at a very fancy golf course – I have so many stories from there.

Which three items can’t you live without to do your job?

Muck Rack, all the snacks and my iPad.

Which three items can’t you live without?

My phone, my kindle and my giant water bottle.
