We’ve appointed Jess Rees to head up our Austin office and lead our enterprise tech practice – alongside long-time lorry Justin Ordman. Together, they’ll oversee day-to-day client servicing and spearhead strategy for a growing roster of international enterprise tech clients, combining the lorries’ trademark creativity and strategic business mindset.
Jess will also be instrumental in expanding the lorries’ Austin office, which opened in January 2022. The agency now boasts three locations in North America – Austin, Boston, and LA – and a further three in Europe – Berlin, Paris, and our London headquarters.
Jess is a seasoned PR veteran. In her previous role, she ran a PR consultancy working with b2b tech companies, venture-backed start-ups, and thought leaders in the tech space like Lyft, Garmin and more. Her clients included Silicon Valley venture capital firms, tech unicorns and startups that used the momentum from their PR campaigns to be acquired by household names, including Airbnb, PayPal, Groupon and Dropbox. She’s also a published author, whose book on managing comms crises recently reached the number one spot in Amazon’s ‘Hot New Releases’ in PR.
“With a decade of experience managing her own successful tech PR consultancy, we’re delighted to have Jess join us,” said Meredith L. Eaton, head of North America at the lorries. “Her tenacity and no-nonsense approach have made her a hit with teams and clients alike. It’s already clear that she’ll play a crucial role in taking our US business from strength to strength.”
“I’m already feeling at home working alongside Justin and the dedicated lorry teams worldwide,” added Jess. “It’s both refreshing and energising to join an agency that provides a full range of integrated marketing and PR services to support brand awareness and lead generation. Seeing an idea come to life successfully across both earned media and digital channels is extremely rewarding. Bring on 2023 and beyond!”
