The Quiz

Question 1

Understanding which sector you operate in helps us to assess the potential exposure to risk or crisis. Different industries face unique challenges. This could be anything from increased regulatory scrutiny, supply chain dependencies and ethics through to market volatility, reputational and public perception issues. By knowing your sector, we can better anticipate the types of crises triggers or pressures likely facing you.

Question 2

Your size and growth stage can influencer the types of crisis you may face and your capacity to handle them. Early-stage or rapidly growing businesses may have fewer established protocols and resources, making them more vulnerable to operational disruptions or reputational issues. On the flip side, large, more publicly facing companies have a complex web of stakeholder relationships and pressures, increasing the risk and impact of a crisis.

Question 3

Sharing where you believe the biggest risk to your business potentially lies helps us to understand where a crisis could most likely emerge and how significant/far reaching or recurring that crisis may be.

Question 4

We’ve seen it happen in the press – businesses have fallen victim to crisis as a result of a point of weakness in a wider, external network. You can’t control or police the security measures or best practices of organisations external to your own. So, the bigger your network, the more susceptible you may be to attack or breach through a third-party.

Question 5

Crises come in all shapes and sizes. Whether it’s whistleblowers, layoffs, wayward employees, data breaches, IT outages or accidents, they have the power to damage your reputation irreparably if not managed correctly. Businesses that have experienced crises before can become more attractive targets for future incidents. And the way you managed (or mismanaged) the last one, could leave you even more exposed to risk.
